Privacy policy

Who is responsible
The operator of this website is responsible for the personal information described here. We handle it in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
- Technical details sent by your browser: IP address, device and browser type, language, the page you came from and the pages you view.
- Information about links you select, so we can see which listings are useful and pass you on to the venue.
- Anything you choose to send us, such as your email address when you write to us.
We do not ask you to create an account and we do not take payments.
Why we use it
- To show you this website and keep it secure and working.
- To understand how the site is used and improve it.
- To measure how visitors reach the venues we list.
- To answer your messages.
Who we share it with
We use service providers for hosting, an internal analytics system, a click tracking service and an error logging tool. They handle information only to provide those services. When you follow a link to a venue, that venue receives your visit under its own privacy policy, which we do not control. Some providers are located outside Australia, so your information may be processed overseas.
How long we keep it
We keep technical and analytics information only for as long as it is needed for the purposes above, then delete or de-identify it.
Your choices
You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailingsupport@topaustraliaonline.com. You can also limit cookies through your browser, as described in ourcookie policy.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, contact us first and we will respond in writing. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) atoaic.gov.au.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
